Goal: Students

5 Year Goal:

By June of 2018, Windham School District staff, in partnership with the community, will promote student engagement and involvement, which is personalized and meaningful as measured by:

  • An increase in community partnership opportunities
  • RTI Practices & Protocols
  • The data collection of
    • Attendance Rates
    • Student Discipline
    • Student Achievement

Such as:

  • Common Summative Assessments
  • NWEA, AIMSweb, State Testing
  • Graduation Rate

1 Year Plan:

By June of 2014, Windham School District staff, in partnership with the community, will promote student engagement and involvement, which is personalized and meaningful as measured by:

  • An increase in at least one in community partnership opportunity at each school
  • An outline of RTI Practices & Protocols that would be used at each school
  • The data collection of
    • 2013-2014 Attendance Rates
    • 2013-2014 Student Discipline
    • 2013-2014 Student Achievement

SUCH AS:

  • Common Summative Assessments
  • NWEA, AIMSweb, State Testing
  • Graduation Rate

 

5 Year:  By June of 2018, the Windham School District will have a comprehensive and effective evaluation and supervision model that is seamlessly integrated with the professional development program, which is largely led by district professional staff.

1 Year:  By June of 2014, Windham SD professionals will recommend comprehensive and appropriate revisions aimed at the supervision, evaluation, and professional development model, geared toward increased educator effectiveness, to include multiple opportunities for professional development offered by internal professional staff as suggested by the supervision/evaluation process.

Including:

  • Evaluation and streamlining of the various steps in the process
  • Revision of the paperwork required by the process
  • Evaluation of the TeachScape pilot being undertaken at WCS
  • Analysis of the impact of SLO's and the waiver on the current process
  •     Creation of a set of topics appropriate for a peer-taught planned professional development day in June, 2014

Goal: Facilities

5 Year Goal:

By June of 2018, the District will annually review the long-range capital preventative maintenance plan and make adjustments including, but not limited to, enrollment levels, economic conditions, and other extenuating factors affecting the District.

1 Year Goal:

By June of 2014, the District will implement an annual and long-range capital preventative maintenance plan with the objective of providing the most economical and efficient use of District resources. Outcomes will include monthly schedules of building-level maintenance and custodial tasks, preventative maintenance tasks for all building systems, and a list of current necessary repairs. Input garnered from the maintenance ticketing system will provide feedback, tracking, and evaluation of the plan for annual review that will guide staffing levels of the maintenance department. In addition, the District will support the School Board’s long-range facility planning efforts as major facilities initiative are presented to voters.
